VSD Air Compressor Energy Savings Calculator
Estimate how much electricity, money and CO₂ your factory can save by switching from a fixed-speed screw compressor to an inverter-driven (VSD) unit like the Genexis EGM series. Enter your numbers — results update instantly.

How the calculation works
A fixed-speed screw compressor runs at full power whenever loaded and still draws ~30% of nameplate when unloaded. Over a typical day where air demand fluctuates, the average draw sits around 80–95% of rated power.
A VSD (Variable Speed Drive) compressor spins its motor only as fast as the plant actually needs. In most Malaysian factories, average VSD load is 40–65% — cutting electricity by 25–40% and often more.
CO₂ is calculated using Malaysia's grid emission factor of 0.774 kg CO₂/kWh (MGTC, Peninsular Malaysia).
